Travel Radiologic Technologist (TX/OK/KS)

The Travel Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using mobile radiographic equipment. This position involves traveling to different states and territories to provide staffing support (Texas/Kansas/Oklahoma, and future locations as we grow the operations!). Our technologists cover an assigned territory and travel to various facilities to provide diagnostic imaging services, including skilled nursing facilities, long-term acute care, rehab hospitals, assisted living, and patient homes, to provide essential imaging services.

This role will go where the staffing support and imaging needs are. Instead of having an assigned territory, this technologist will be expected to cover multiple territories, states, and work any hours/schedule needed to provide support for that imaging team. Schedule flexibility and availability to travel frequently are required. The technician will ensure high-quality images are captured while delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining strict adherence to safety standards.

  • Open to working all schedules-day, mid-shift, night, or overnight;
Monday-Friday, Weekends, and Holidays as needed
  • Position travels to and provides imaging support in multiple states-Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas (+future states as our company grows)

  • Operate portable radiographic equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images following the prescribed imaging protocols.
  • Safely transport and operate mobile imaging equipment at various locations, including hospitals, clinics, and patient residences.
  • Explain procedures to patients, ensuring they are properly positioned for imaging exams while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
  • Cover areas not being imaged to protect patients from unnecessary radiation exposure during procedures.
  • Ensure proper patient alignment for imaging by coordinating with facility staff or aides to assist patients with limited mobility. Direct handling of patients is not allowed.
  • Operate portable radiographic equipment, perform EKG examinations, and comply with infection control procedures.
  • Accurately document patient records during and after procedures.
  • Calibrate radiographic equipment to provide clear, high-quality images and assist in interpreting radiographs when necessary.
  • Ensure proper sterilization, storage, and routine maintenance of radiographic equipment. Report any equipment failures or issues promptly.
  • Log, organize, and develop imaging results in accordance with company protocols.
  • Safely operate a motor vehicle.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Earned a degree from an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) program.
  • Completed internships with hands-on clinical experience during the degree program.
  • Passed or scheduled to take qualifying exams within the required timeframe for ARRT certification.
