Opportunities available in the heart of DallasWe are seeking a Medical Sonographer (Non-OB) with a passion for service excellence to join our Imaging team in the Dallas area. The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Working under the supervision of the interpreting physician and our Director of Imaging, the Sonographer performs a variety of ultrasound procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to organizational policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.

Here's a sneak peek at what you'll do- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders, established clinical protocols, and scope of practice.
- Conduct a variety of non-obstetric ultrasound studies, including abdominal, pelvic, thyroid, breast, scrotal, renal, soft tissue, and vascular examinations (if credentialed).
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic images, accurate measurements, and prepare preliminary technical findings for physician interpretation.
- Verify patient identity, review medical history, explain procedures, obtain informed consent when appropriate, and ensure patient comfort, privacy, dignity, and safety throughout the examination.
- Recognize abnormal or urgent findings and promptly communicate critical results to the interpreting provider following established protocols.
- Accurately document imaging procedures and patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) while maintaining complete clinical documentation.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment, perform routine quality assurance checks, ensure infection prevention standards, and report equipment issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, AIUM, ACR, CMS, and organizational policies while maintaining a safe and organized imaging environment.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare team members to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care while participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Support clinic operations by assisting with scheduling, patient flow, continuing education, accreditation activities, floating between clinic locations as needed, and performing other assigned duties.

- Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and diagnostic imaging principles.
- Proficiency in abdominal, pelvic (non-OB), small parts, vascular (if applicable), and general ultrasound imaging.
- Ability to obtain technically superior diagnostic images while maintaining patient comfort.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (eClinicalWorks or similar)
- Ability to prioritize workload and function effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
