What We’re Looking For:

Are you a compassionate
Music Therapist
ready to empower students and schools? Here's what you’ll need to join our team:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music Therapy from an accredited program.

Certification:

Active credentials as a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) through the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) or equivalent certification (ACMT, CMT, or RMT).

Additional Requirements:

Current CPR certification is required.

Language Proficiency:

Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Your Role:

As a school-based
Music Therapist, you’ll bring the power of music to education, helping students overcome barriers and unlock their potential. Your key responsibilities will include:

Conduct Evaluations:

Conduct evaluations to determine the need for specialized therapy services.

Communicate Findings:
Share evaluation results with parents and district personnel, providing clear and compassionate insights.

Develop Interventions:
Collaborate with the ARD committee to create targeted, evidence-based therapeutic interventions that enhance student performance, participation, and access to education.

Provide Therapy:
Plan and deliver music therapy services in alignment with students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

Monitor Progress:
Collect data and maintain accurate, detailed records of student progress to ensure interventions are effective.

Support Teams:
Participate in ARD meetings, parent conferences, and other relevant discussions to advocate for and enhance special education programs.

Your unique ability to combine creativity and clinical expertise will make a meaningful difference in students’ lives.
