Travel Telemetry Monitor Technician | York, ME

Location: York, Maine
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 15 Weeks
Shift: 36 Hours/Week

• Two 12-hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• One 12-hour Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current AHA BLS Certification
• Minimum 2 Years of ECG/Dysrhythmia Monitoring Experience in a hospital, clinic, or similar healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and rhythm interpretation
• Ability to complete the facility's Dysrhythmia Course and EKG competency requirements

• Continuously monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and promptly notify nursing staff of any changes in rhythm or rate.
• Interpret ECG rhythms and document telemetry strips according to department standards.
• Perform routine ectopy checks and telemetry strip documentation.
• Initiate, configure, and discontinue telemetry monitoring as patients are admitted, transferred, or discharged.
• Maintain telemetry equipment and ensure proper daily maintenance of telemetry boxes.
• Perform EKG procedures as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records, telemetry documentation, and charging information.
• Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely patient care.
• Deliver exceptional patient-centered care while maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice.
