Opportunity:

Occupational Therapist

Job Details:
  • Work Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Plan, organize, develop, administer, direct, and supervise OT treatment in accordance with federal, state, and local standards
  • Assess patient's level of functioning upon physician orders and implement appropriate treatment based on assessment
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team process and discharge planning for each patient
  • Complete appropriate documentation according to department policy and procedures
  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and OT/COTA students
  • Assist with new staff orientation and supervise students or other staff members
  • Maintain customer service attitude toward patients, visitors, and staff members
  • Complete initial evaluations and individualized treatment plans based on patient diagnosis and goals
  • Collaborate with team members to provide optimal patient care
  • Attend team conferences and provide pertinent information
  • Follow all facility guidelines for personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality
  • Demonstrate safety awareness in patient handling, materials handling, and work environment
  • Required:

    BLS Certification, valid current state license, minimum 2 years recent inpatient hospital experience
  • Focus on patient and employee safety including 10 Foot Circle of Safety protocols
