Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Overview

Requirements- Associates of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university
- Current state of Texas licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- 6months full-time clinical experience
- Pediatrics experience
- Home Health experience preferred
- Mustcarry valid auto insurance and driver's license.
- Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
- Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in the patients homeor daytime facility
- Schedules supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising OT according to Texas board guidelines
- Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
- Plansfor care to meet goals of the occupational therapy interventions
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, andparticipating in professional organizations.
- Enhances occupational therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
