About the Role
MK Homecare is seeking dependable, compassionate Caregivers to provide high-quality, person-centered care to clients in their homes. Caregivers help clients maintain safety, comfort, dignity, and independence while following each client’s individualized care plan.
Responsibilities- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Provide mobility, positioning, and transfer assistance as required by the client’s care plan
- Prepare meals and assist with eating when needed
- Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
- Perform light housekeeping related to the client’s care and living environment
- Assist with reminders and routine daily activities
- Observe and report changes in a client’s condition, behavior, or needs
- Complete required care notes and documentation accurately and on time
- Follow client care plans, company procedures, and safety requirements
- Maintain client privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
- Communicate professionally with clients, families, supervisors, and other members of the care team
- Arrive on time and maintain dependable attendance for scheduled shifts
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to provide respectful and compassionate care
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to complete required documentation
- Ability to safely perform the physical duties required for assigned clients
- Must successfully complete all required onboarding, training, background study, and employment requirements
- Must comply with MK Homecare policies and applicable state requirements
- Previous caregiving, home care, healthcare, or direct support experience
- Experience assisting older adults or individuals with disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, professionalism, and good judgment
- Ability to recognize and report changes in a client’s condition
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while following a care plan
- Dependable, responsible, and respectful approach to client care
