License: Active permanent or temporary Medical Radiologic Technologist certification
Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Nuclear Medicine, American Heart Association BLS
Must-Have:
- Experience with Siemens and Spectrum Imaging is highly preferred
- Must disclose any previous employment history in profile
- Thorough working knowledge of the field of nuclear medicine technology
- Ability to administer intramuscular and intravenous injections
- Ability to operate Gamma cameras, including SPECT/CT and PET/CT scanners
- Basic knowledge of nuclear medicine therapeutic treatments
- Basic knowledge of EKG to perform cardiac studies
Description:
Performs quality control measures on nuclear medicine equipment and devices.
Troubleshoots and maintains equipment to ensure quality management programs for all procedures.
Confers with physicians to determine appropriate procedures to ensure effective operations.
Documents all operations of the laboratory including the receipt and disposition of radioactive materials.
Maintains instrument and procedural quality control data, patient procedures, and medical records.
Exercises judgment in the performance of scheduled examinations and procedures to ensure compliance.
Identifies ways to improve work processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
Makes recommendations to management, implements, and monitors results as appropriate.
Provides clinical instruction for radiology students and residents.
Stays updated on the latest developments and advancements in the nuclear medicine field.
Maintains a positive working relationship with co-workers, physicians, nurses, residents, and patients.
Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, and guidelines for nuclear medicine.
Develops effective internal controls that promote adherence to applicable laws and program requirements.
Seeks advice and guidance as necessary to ensure proper understanding.
