Job Summary This position works under general supervision of Chief Radiation Therapist to provide radiotherapy treatments as prescribed by the physicians to adult and pediatric populations.

- Education Graduate of JCERT accredited program in Radiation Therapy or equivalent and Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare field or Associate's Degree in a healthcare field
- Experience 4 years of progressive experience as a Radiation Therapy Technologist (RTT) with Bachelor's Degree or 6 years at level of Radiation Therapist I or equivalent with Associate's Degree
- Licenses and Certifications AMER REG OF RAD TECH Licensure as a Medical Radiologic Technologist by the Texas Medical Board Upon Hire and (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT Course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Upon Hire and Must have passed the registry exam as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) Upon Hire

MRI Training preferred, but not required
- Operates a variety of complex treatment machines to deliver prescribed treatment dose. May be asked to operate on cutting-edge treatment machines with Chief Therapist approval.
- Prepares and educates patients for radiotherapy;
Administers complex radiotherapy treatment and monitors patient separation from complex treatment machine. Provides mentorship of Radiation Therapist I in conventional radiotherapy treatments. - Prepares treatment room and fabricates immobilization/treatment devices.
