SummaryCatbird Rooftop is a vibrant, design-forward rooftop destination overlooking the Dallas skyline. The General Manager serves as the visionary and operational leader responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving financial performance, and cultivating a high-performing team culture.
This role blends entrepreneurial leadership with disciplined execution and reports to the Director of Restaurant, Bars, and Events.
Operational Leadership- Oversee all day-to-day operations with a hands-on leadership presence.
- Ensure seamless execution of service standards and brand expectations.
- Maintain expert knowledge of menu items, beverages, and compliance standards.
- Partner with culinary leadership to deliver an elevated dining experience.
- Anticipate high-volume periods and adjust staffing and pacing accordingly.
- Cultivate a culture of hospitality focused on warmth and personalization.
- Actively engage with guests to build loyalty and ensure satisfaction.
- Oversee reservation strategy and table management to maximize revenue.
- Maintain an energetic rooftop atmosphere aligned with brand identity.
- Analyze daily sales and labor metrics against budget and forecast.
- Drive top-line revenue through programming and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain strong cost controls and manage payroll and tip distribution.
- Demonstrate strong P&L ownership and financial acumen.
- Recruit, hire, and develop high-performing hospitality teams.
- Conduct structured performance reviews and ongoing coaching.
- Lead daily pre-shift meetings and maintain team alignment.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-energy culture.
- Collaborate on marketing plans and seasonal programming initiatives.
- Develop rooftop activations, themed events, and holiday experiences.
- Contribute creative ideas that position Catbird as a premier Dallas rooftop destination.
- Minimum of 4+ years of progressive Food & Beverage management experience.
- Proven leadership success in upscale, high-volume environments.
- Strong financial acumen and P&L management experience.
- High energy, entrepreneurial mindset, and motivational leadership style.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
