Open position

O’Melveny has an immediate opening for an Attorney Recruiting and Development Coordinator in our Dallas office. This position will provide support in the recruitment, integration and retention of attorneys and summer associates.

Recruiting Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Director of Attorney Recruiting to implement effective recruiting strategies and searches.
  • Assist in the coordination of all aspects of the attorney recruitment process, both entry level and student recruiting.
  • Communicate with applicants to schedule interviews, and assist with the callback interview and offer process.
  • Assist with the preparation for and execution of our summer associate program.
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation of our new and lateral associates.
  • Maintain relationships with career services business professionals and assist with execution of outreach events on campus.
  • There may also be firm wide projects as they relate to recruiting initiatives and strategies.
Professional Development Responsibilities
  • Help facilitate the office’s training and mentoring programs.
  • Assist in executing initiatives and attorney development programs.
  • Regularly articulate and promote talent development programs to attorneys.
  • Build awareness, understanding, and support for the Firm’s talent development initiatives.
  • Assist with the attorney evaluation process.
  • Firmwide support of attorney continuing legal education (CLE) administration including data entry into CE Manager, generating forms for internal and external CLE programs, and general administrative support as it relates to attorney training.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of attorney recruiting and/or attorney development experience (preferably in a large law firm environment) or professional services experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior technical skills and the ability to consider and analyze data and how it can be best utilized for the firm’s talent development efforts.
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent follow-up skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates should be proactive and comfortable dealing with all levels of leadership.
  • Experience with ViRecruit and Workday or other applicant tracking system is strongly preferred.
  • A four year college degree is required.
