Summary The HR Director, HR for HR and Special Projects, serves as a strategic business partner to the function—driving performance, talent, engagement, development, and organizational excellence across the HR team while modeling best‑in‑class, problem‑oriented HR practices. This role partners closely with the HR Leadership Team (HRLT) to progress the HR function by aligning HR structure, processes, and ways of working. It also leads and supports HR projects—including process improvement, change management, and enhancements to HR service delivery—to build more modern, systemic HR practices that enable business strategy.

In addition, this role provides strategic and operational support to the SVP, HR Lines of Business, Talent Acquisition, and Experience—overseeing team goals, project tracking, analyses and executive presentations, budget, and cadence to ensure the team is consistently delivering high‑quality outcomes for the business. This position will support our Human Resources team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week.

This position is based out of our North Dallas office in Dallas, TX.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Leadership and Business Partnership
    • Serve as a strategic advisor to HR leadership, ensuring HR priorities align with business goals, operating model needs, and competitive requirements.
    • Advise and support senior leaders on complex HR matters, including talent management, succession planning, organizational design, employee engagement, career development, compensation reviews, and performance management within the HR function.
    • Collaborate with Total Rewards on job architecture and leveling frameworks to align roles with compensation philosophy, career progression, and skills-based organization models.
    • Use data and analytics to identify trends and business needs, prioritizing action and driving measurable impact.
    • Navigate complex, sensitive employee relations matters—conduct investigations in conjunction with legal, assess risk, and drive fair, compliant resolutions.
    • Support HR team capability building through structured learning sessions, curated online learning resources, coaching, development planning, and conference attendance.
  • HR Projects and Transformation Support
    • Partner with the HRLT on HR Transformation work streams, assisting with enhancements to HR structure, processes, and service delivery.
    • Lead and support cross-functional HR projects focused on process improvement and operational efficiency, ensuring clear ownership, alignment, timeline management, and completion.
    • Apply change management practices to support the rollout and adoption of new HR processes, tools, and ways of working.
    • Support leaders in driving greater AI adoption and utilization across the organization, leading to improved automation and efficiency.
  • Strategic Operations Support for SVP, HR
    • Provide operational support that enhances HRBP team effectiveness, including resource planning, goal (OKR) setting, and process alignment.
    • Develop executive-level presentations, dashboards, and data insights for the SVP.
    • Act as an integrator across HR teams, ensuring alignment of priorities, clarity in communication, and operational coherence.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required;
    Master’s preferred.
  • 10–12+ years of progressive HR experience with strong exposure to HR operations, HR Business Partnership, and/or HR project leadership.
