Position: Coordinator I (226 Days)
* Assume responsibility for the recruitment, interviewing, and employment processing of personnel for the Transportation Department. Conduct formal presentations and meetings with prospects.

* Cross-collaborate with HCM, Risk Management, DOT/D&A provider to ensure the candidate expeditiously moves through the pre-employment process.

* Coordinates new hire clearance and onboarding with HCM and internal stakeholders.

* Reviews candidate credentials to determine eligibility. Compile, maintain, file, and secure all physical and electronic employee records.

* Maintain hiring records for all staffing data and vacancies. Provide weekly reports.

* Review personnel allocations and make recommendations for staffing.

* Establish and foster collaborations with external partners vital to the department's recruitment efforts.

* Utilize technology to research, collect data, analyze findings, and prepare reports to drive recruitment efforts. Develop recruitment strategies to ensure the department hires and retains quality drivers and monitors.

* Responsible for organizing and planning department job fairs and all recruiting initiatives. Create advertisement content in collaboration with the Communications department.

* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

* Required Bachelor's degree

* Preferred two years' experience in recruitment, program, or initiative management, or directly related work

* Preferred thorough knowledge of Dallas ISD and its policies, preferred.

* Preferred experience with recruitment and hiring software - Talent Management System (TMS)

* Experience in human resources, recruiting, or marketing preferred

* Ability to use Microsoft Office and various other computer programs

* Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with diverse employee groups, administrators, and patrons

* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

* Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
