Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefit programs.
- Serve as primary contact with carriers, consultants, and third-party administrators.
- Oversee enrollments, eligibility, life event changes, and terminations.
- Resolve complex benefit issues and ensure timely and accurate claim resolution.
- Support annual open enrollment planning, testing, and execution.
- Audit and review benefits data for eligibility and payroll deductions and identify discrepancies in reporting to vendors or within internal systems.
- Reconcile and process benefits invoices for payment.

- Support annual open enrollment planning, testing, and execution.
- Audit and review benefits data for eligibility and payroll deductions and identify discrepancies in reporting to vendors or within internal systems.
- Reconcile and process benefits invoices for payment.
- Administer the company’s 401(k) plan, including eligibility and contributions.
- Coordinate with recordkeeper and payroll to ensure accurate demographic data and timely funding.
- Support nondiscrimination testing, audits, company match calculations and required filings.
- Provide employee education and support regarding retirement benefits.
- Administer leave programs including FMLA, medical leave, personal leave and workers’ compensation claims.
- Partner with HR Managers on ADA interactive process, accommodation requests, and return‑to‑work coordination.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local laws, plan guidelines and company policies.
- Partner with managers and employees to support compliant and timely leave management.
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and other applicable laws.
- Support ACA measurement, reporting, and 1095-C preparation.
- Assist with plan audits, Form 5500 preparation, and required disclosures.
- Maintain plan documents, SPDs, and compliance notices.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to audit, reconcile, and analyze benefits data.
- Prepare reports for leadership, finance, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain benefits systems and ensure data integrity between HRIS, payroll, and vendors.
- Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to employee inquiries and educating employees on benefits.
- Assist in the development of clear employee communications and benefits guides.
- Support benefits education sessions, webinars, and new hire orientations.
- Participate in community and public relations activities as assigned.
- Demonstrates the belief that addiction is a brain disease, not a moral failing.

- Establishes and maintains positive relationships in the workplace.
- Can work independently and under pressure while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Participate in and provide in‑service trainings as required by federal, state, local, and accrediting agencies.
- Attend conferences, meetings and training programs as directed.
- The Sr. Benefits Analyst must comply with federal and state regulations regarding certification, licensure, and degree.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3‑5 years of experience in benefits administration.
- Strong knowledge of health & welfare plans, retirement plans, and leave administration.
