Payroll Operations Senior Coordinator – Benefits Processing

The Payroll Operations Senior Coordinator – Benefits processing role is responsible for administering benefit related pay processing actions across multiple RTX business units including:
Raytheon, Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Corporate. This role ensures accurate calculation, entry, reconciliation, and compliance for processes including but not limited to:
Savings Plan, Health and Welfare, and Voluntary Deductions for active, transfer, and terminated employees. This position will be closely partnered with the following teams:
Leave of Absence, Payroll Operations, Time and Labor Management, Human resources, Business units' representatives and Vendor providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll transaction processing.

What You Will Do
  • Review and process payroll benefits cases submitted via Service Now (SNOW) for all business units.
  • Research, evaluate and ensure payroll benefit issues and discrepancies are resolved in a proper and timely manner.
  • Complete Benefits payroll processing procedures while ensuring accurate earnings and deductions and meeting strict state compliance payroll deadlines.
  • Ensure alignment to RTX standard work, knowledge of RTX's Benefit plans, and excellent customer service and flawless execution.
  • Apply state/local laws, union rules, and business unit ‑ specific policies to transaction processing while supporting audit activities by maintaining accurate and timely documentation for all payroll actions.
  • Prepare, audit, and submit benefit payment transactions related to terminations, transfers, and leave of absence for employee changes across all divisions.
  • Collaborate with the Payroll Service Center to load, validate, and reconcile over payment and arrears payments.
  • Collaborate with Total Rewards, Leave of Absence, Human resources, Payroll Ops, Vendors and Time & Labor Teams on case processing and employee inquiries.
  • Directly communicate results of calculations, discrepancies, and case resolutions to employees and stakeholders.
  • Participate in testing payrolls and reviewing the outcome and troubleshooting issues.
  • Review and ensure payroll benefits activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations in regard to 401K, HSA, FSA, and company match programs.
  • Self-starter able to work effectively in a fast-paced highly collaborative cross functional team environment with excellent verbal and written communication skills using Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • An Associates Degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, 8 years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • Experience in payroll operations or an adjacent field, preferably in a large multi‑business unit organization.
  • Knowledge of payroll concepts including benefits, earnings, deductions, pretax adjustments, autopay, and offsets.

This is a hybrid role, eligible candidates must reside within commuting distance of Dallas TX, Tucson AZ, Hartford CT, or Charlotte NC.
