What You’ll DoAs an HR Generalist, you'll play a key role in creating an HR department from the ground up. You will support employees and management while developing HR processes that are compliant, efficient, and employee-focused.
Human Resources- Manage daily HR administration, employee personnel files, and HR reporting, including skills matrices, compensation, and overhead cost tracking.
- Lead the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
- Ensure compliance with federal, Texas, and company employment policies and procedures.
- Administer employee benefits and process employee reimbursement requests.
- Coordinate and/or process payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and related documentation.
- Monitor employee attendance, maintain disciplinary documentation, and support training and performance improvement initiatives.
- Partner with supervisors and managers to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and terminations.
- Maintain HR compliance records and confidential employee files.
- Support workplace safety initiatives by maintaining required documentation and records.
- Stay current on Texas employment laws and recommend best practices.
- Provide general administrative support for the office.
- Coordinate office purchasing and maintain office supply inventory.
- Assist with special projects and cross-functional administrative needs.
- Provide administrative support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable documentation.
- Assist with financial paperwork and related administrative processes.
- 3–4 years of Human Resources experience.
- Experience supporting a manufacturing workforce.
- Knowledge of Texas labor and employment laws.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Self‑motivated with a hands‑on approach and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Payroll processing experience.
- Experience with Quick Books.
- Experience using HRIS systems and electronic personnel records.
