What You’ll Do

As an HR Generalist, you'll play a key role in creating an HR department from the ground up. You will support employees and management while developing HR processes that are compliant, efficient, and employee-focused.

Human Resources
  • Manage daily HR administration, employee personnel files, and HR reporting, including skills matrices, compensation, and overhead cost tracking.
  • Lead the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, Texas, and company employment policies and procedures.
  • Administer employee benefits and process employee reimbursement requests.
  • Coordinate and/or process payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and related documentation.
  • Monitor employee attendance, maintain disciplinary documentation, and support training and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with supervisors and managers to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and terminations.
Compliance & Safety
  • Maintain HR compliance records and confidential employee files.
  • Support workplace safety initiatives by maintaining required documentation and records.
  • Stay current on Texas employment laws and recommend best practices.
Office Administration
  • Provide general administrative support for the office.
  • Coordinate office purchasing and maintain office supply inventory.
  • Assist with special projects and cross-functional administrative needs.
Accounting Support
  • Provide administrative support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable documentation.
  • Assist with financial paperwork and related administrative processes.
Required Qualifications
  • 3–4 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing workforce.
  • Knowledge of Texas labor and employment laws.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self‑motivated with a hands‑on approach and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Payroll processing experience.
  • Experience with Quick Books.
  • Experience using HRIS systems and electronic personnel records.
