Strategic Human Resources Manager

As the Human Resources Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees by providing strategic and operational HR support across employee relations, talent management, performance management, compensation, organizational development, employee engagement, and compliance. You will partner closely with business leaders to align people strategies with organizational goals while fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.

This is a hybrid position based in one of our offices (MD, IL, GA, or TX) and reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with business leaders to develop and execute people strategies that support business objectives and organizational growth.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management, leadership development, conflict resolution, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead employee relations investigations and ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant resolutions.
  • Support talent acquisition initiatives, workforce planning, succession planning, and retention strategies.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to identify current and future talent needs.
  • Collaborate with the Benefits team to administer employee benefit programs and support leave of absence management.
  • Manage the annual performance review process, compensation planning, and talent calibration activities.
  • Analyze compensation and workforce trends to support competitive and equitable pay practices.
  • Identify learning and development opportunities that strengthen employee capabilities and leadership effectiveness.
  • Foster employee engagement through programs that enhance culture, recognition, and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain HR policies.
  • Maintain knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and workforce trends.
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to support business decisions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, employment law, and talent management.
