Associate Business Partner

About the Role

We are searching for an Associate HR Business Partner to support our Valuation and Advisory Services business. This role combines day-to-day support for employees and managers with the delivery and improvement of core People processes, research, analysis, and project coordination.

In this role, you will provide HR administrative, process, and technical support while contributing to People initiatives that help drive business objectives. The successful candidate will be curious, ask thoughtful questions, and have a genuine interest in learning how the business operates. You will be expected to connect information, identify meaningful insights, and contribute ideas and observations to people-related conversations.

This position serves as a resource for employee and manager questions, collaborating with Centers of Excellence and HR Operations to research and resolve issues of moderate complexity. You will gain exposure to a variety of HR disciplines and participate in conversations impacting the business, developing your knowledge and perspective over time.

• Support employees and managers with day-to-day questions and issues while identifying recurring themes, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide employee relations guidance and conflict resolution support, assisting with performance improvement discussions, corrective actions, and other employee matters as appropriate.
• Support key HR projects through research, analysis, and project coordination, while helping identify trends, connect information, and surface insights for the broader team.
• Collect, aggregate, and analyze HR metrics and data from a variety of systems to identify trends, draw insights, prepare reports, and present findings that support decision-making related to talent initiatives, hiring practices, employee engagement, attrition, and compliance.
• Work with managers to identify employment-related risks, gather relevant information, and support the initial discovery process for investigations, grievances, and employee relations concerns.
• Develop an understanding of the Valuation and Advisory Services business by asking thoughtful questions, seeking context, and building knowledge of how People initiatives support business objectives.
• Assist with manager and employee discussions related to employee engagement, performance, benefits, compensation, and talent review processes.
• Partner with Centers of Excellence and HR Operations to support employee lifecycle activities, unemployment claims, background check adjudications, and other People processes.
• Recommend and support initiatives that strengthen company culture, improve employee retention, drive operational efficiency, and maintain legal compliance.
• Provide guidance on the interpretation and application of HR policies, procedures, company requirements, and applicable employment regulations.
• Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
• Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
