Job Purpose

- The Employer Relations and Workforce Instructor at Goodwill Industries of Dallas Inc. is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with employers to create job opportunities for program participants. This role involves instructing and guiding individuals in workforce readiness, ensuring they are prepared to meet the demands of the job market and succeed in their employment endeavors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local employers to identify job opportunities for program participants.
  • Design and deliver workforce readiness training programs that equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge for employment.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and support to participants, helping them to overcome barriers to employment and achieve their career goals.
  • Collaborate with other departments within Goodwill Industries to align workforce programs with organizational goals and community needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Organize job fairs, employer panels, and networking events to connect participants with potential employers.
  • Maintain accurate records of participant progress and employer engagement activities, ensuring compliance with organizational and funding requirements.
  • Stay informed about labor market trends and employer needs to continuously enhance program offerings and participant success.
Qualifications Required Education

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or a related field.

Required Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in workforce development, career counseling, or employer relations.
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining partnerships with local businesses and community organizations.
  • Experience in creating and delivering training programs tailored to workforce readiness and employment skills.

  • Strong understanding of labor market trends and employment practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to design and implement strategic plans for workforce development initiatives.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports to measure program effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members and external partners.
