Sr HR Generalist

You'll be the HR partner our bakery managers, SHIPP distribution, and Support Center leaders call first. Here's what a Tuesday might look like.

• 8:00 a.m. A bakery manager calls. A team member has missed three shifts. You walk her through what to do next and help her write it up the right way.
• 9:30 a.m. You start an investigation into a complaint at the Support Center. You set up interviews, take careful notes and keep every detail private.
• 11:00 a.m. You sit down with a manager whose team member is on a performance plan. You help him plan a clear, fair conversation.
• 1:00 p.m. You drive to one of our bakeries. You walk the floor, check posters and files, and listen to what the team has to say.
• 3:00 p.m. You hold an exit conversation with a team member who's leaving. You log the real reason in UKG so we can learn from it.
• 4:00 p.m. A new state leave law takes effect. You use AI to summarize it and draft the handbook update, then check it against the law and flag what managers need to know.
• 4:45 p.m. Hiring managers keep asking for help with job postings. You build an AI prompt that turns their notes into a solid first draft, so they wait minutes instead of days.

The Sr. HR Generalist owns employee relations, investigations, exits and performance support for our Support Center, SHIPP distribution center and company-owned bakeries. You'll coach managers, keep us compliant across multiple states and spend real time in our bakeries. You'll work side by side with our HR Manager, our Training and Engagement team and the VP of Human Resources. You'll also help lead how our HR team uses AI.

We want someone who always asks one question: where can AI take friction out of our day?

• Take in and investigate employee relations concerns, from the first call to the final write-up
• Coach managers on performance, corrective action and performance plans
• Hold exit conversations and track why people leave, so we can fix what's driving it
• Keep our handbook and policies current across the states where we operate
• Support safety and OSHA compliance at our SHIPP distribution center
• Visit our company-owned bakeries on a regular schedule for team check-ins and compliance reviews
• Help new bakery managers build their people skills
• Find the repeat, manual work in HR and use AI to remove the friction, like drafting job descriptions, policy summaries and manager FAQs
• Help the HR team and managers use AI tools safely and well
• Back up the HR Generalist and HR Manager so the work keeps moving when someone is out

• Learning agility. You pick up new laws, new tools and new situations fast, and you ask good questions.
