Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Bilingual HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support in a highly visible, employee-focused environment. This position will work closely with employees, managers, HR leadership, payroll, and other internal teams. The ideal candidate is a proactive HR professional who can independently manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, and confidently handle confidential employee matters.

This role offers exposure to recruiting, onboarding, HRIS administration, benefits, compliance, employee relations support, training, engagement, and offboarding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the hiring and onboarding process from requisition through an employee's first day.
  • Facilitate pre-employment screening, including background checks, drug testing, and driving record reviews as applicable.
  • Prepare employment offers and ensure required documentation is completed.
  • Manage Form I-9 and E-Verify requirements while maintaining compliance.
  • Process promotions, transfers, status changes, and other employee updates.
  • Prepare employment-related correspondence and respond to authorized verification requests.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, annual enrollment activities, leave administration, and workplace accommodations.
  • Support employee communications, wellness initiatives, recognition programs, and onsite engagement activities.
  • Coordinate HR training logistics, including scheduling, materials, communications, and attendance tracking.
  • Maintain accurate employee information within the HRIS and ensure changes are communicated to payroll.
  • Maintain confidential personnel, benefits, workers' compensation, and employment eligibility records.
  • Provide HRIS administrative support, including employee data, organizational structures, system access, and routine troubleshooting.
  • Assist with employment compliance activities involving wage requirements, OSHA-related records, driving records, required postings, audits, and other regulatory matters.
  • Coordinate administrative tasks related to employee separations, including documentation, payroll communication, benefits information, and internal notifications.
  • Provide responsive HR support to employees and managers while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, documentation, workflows, and overall efficiency.
  • Participate in annual HR initiatives and special projects, including performance management, compensation programs, audits, and other organizational projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish fluency, both written and verbal, is required.
  • Experience supporting employees across multiple states.
  • Experience working with a large hourly employee population.
  • HR experience within hospitality or another service-oriented industry is preferred.
  • ADP Workforce Now experience is required.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment regulations.
