As our Payroll/Benefits Administrator you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, management of the HRIS systems, and the effective administration of employee benefits programs. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations while managing benefits enrollment, changes, and communications. The role requires close collaboration with employees, people leaders, finance, and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and optimize our payroll and benefit systems.
You will also contribute to employee satisfaction by providing clear and responsive support regarding payroll and benefits inquiries. Ultimately, this position ensures that all payroll and benefits processes run smoothly, supporting the organization's operational efficiency and workforce well-being.
Here's a sneak peek at what you'll do :
- Maintain up-to-date employee, payroll and benefits records, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
- Process and verify payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, and bonuses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
- Administer employee benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Conduct payroll and benefit data audits
- Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits, providing clear and accurate information.
- Coordinate with external vendors and internal departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and benefits issues.
- Prepare and submit required payroll tax filings and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the implementation and communication of new payroll and benefits policies or programs.
What you need to succeed
- High school diploma or equivalent;
Associate’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred. - At least 2 years of experience in payroll processing, HRIS administration and benefits administration.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll and benefit laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with ADP or similar HRIS/payroll software and benefits administration platforms.
- Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
