The candidate must have the expertise to serve as a technical network lead, with the ability to delegate and oversee appropriate tasks to team members for projects ranging from special order requests to complex infrastructure solutions.
Requires 10 years of hands-on experience in IP network infrastructure engineering, IP network equipment installation and configuration (Juniper, Cisco, F5 Networks, Check Point, Brocade, Citrix Netscaler), and diagnosing and resolving IP network issues.
Experience with high availability protocols (such as VRRP, HSRP), routing protocols, network device management tools, SNMP, and network virtualization technologies is essential.
Familiarity with software programming languages employing contemporary APIs is a plus.
Responsibilities include designing and engineering WAN and LAN IP network services, prototyping and laboratory experimentation, certification of multi-vendor equipment interoperability, documentation of network installation and operations, troubleshooting, and ongoing technical consulting for multi-network service internet hosting products and services.
