Hybrid Onsite Every Other Week in Westlake, TX
Our client seeks a Systems Engineer to support and evolve a large-scale contact center platform delivering voice, email, and web chat channels. The team operates in an agile scrum model and supports more than 35 million annual customer interactions. The role will design, build, test, and support services with a focus on reliability, scalability, observability, and continuous improvement.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $50.00 to $60.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities- Write high-quality, reliable, scalable, and reusable code for contact center applications and services.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support telephony and contact center products and integrations.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and shared libraries in Jenkins for automated delivery.
- Implement and manage container-based deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Create and maintain configuration management and provisioning automation.
- Monitor and optimize application performance and availability using APM tools and techniques.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and platform issues in high-visibility environments.
- Operate and support services on UNIX environments and author shell scripts for automation.
- Leverage AWS or similar cloud services for scalable infrastructure and services.
- Contribute to agile delivery practices and promote best-in-class engineering standards.
- Align execution with leadership vision and promote a culture of innovation and integrity.
- Take ownership and accountability for deliverables and continuous improvement initiatives.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Software, Systems, or Dev Ops engineer.
- Proven experience designing, developing, testing, supporting, and troubleshooting contact center and telephony products.
- Professional experience with Java, Ansible, or Python.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized development and deployment.
- Experience authoring and maintaining declarative Jenkins pipelines and shared libraries.
- Proficiency with UNIX operating systems and shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud services.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex application issues and production incidents.
- Knowledge of APM tools and performance monitoring and optimization practices.
- Expertise with Agile delivery practices such as Scrum or Kanban and automation across SDLC.
- Ability to work independently and professionally under pressure within tight time frames.
- Genesys Engage experience (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- AWS certification (preferred).
