* We are seeking a seasoned
** Senior Full Stack Developer
** with over 10 years of experience in enterprise software development, architecture, and modernization to support the Life Insurance Line of Business (LOB). This role requires deep expertise in legacy and modern Microsoft technology stacks, strong database skills, and significant experience with
** AWS cloud
** infrastructure. A background in accounting or exposure to accounting systems is a plus

The ideal candidate will be proficient in
** VB/.NET, ASP, C#, PL/SQL**,
** Angular
* * with secondary expertise in
** Postgre

SQL**, and exposure to
** Python
* * and
** Generative AI (GenAI)**. Strong working knowledge of Dev Ops practices, including
** CI/CD pipelines**,
** Sonar Qube**,
** automation scripts**, and
** Power Shell**, is essential.
** Responsibilities:
*** Design, develop, and modernize enterprise applications using VB/.Net, ASP, and C#, Angular migrating legacy codebases to modern architectures.
* Work with PL/SQL and Postgre

SQL for data access, transformation, and performance tuning.
* Architect and build secure, scalable applications within the AWS cloud environment.
* Develop reusable code libraries and frameworks to standardize components across teams.
* Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and enforce code quality using Sonar Qube.
* Create and manage Power Shell scripts and other automation tools for deployment and environment management.
* Integrate emerging technologies including Python and GenAI to support automation, smart decision-making, and user experience enhancements.
* Collaborate with enterprise architects, product owners, QA, and Dev Ops teams to ensure high-performance, secure, and compliant solutions.
* Provide mentorship to junior developers and contribute to coding best practices and technical governance.

* Qualifications:

*** 10+ years of professional experience in software development and architecture.
* Strong expertise in VB/.Net, ASP, C#, PL/SQL.
* Proficient in Postgre

SQL and SQL optimization techniques.
* Experience developing in and deploying to AWS cloud environments (EC2, RDS, Lambda, Cloud Formation, S3, etc.).
* Proven ability to implement CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Git Lab CI, Jenkins, or AWS Code Pipeline.
* Hands-on experience with Sonar Qube for code quality and static analysis.
* Strong scripting skills using Power Shell for automation and environment setup.
* Exposure to Python and Generative AI platforms (e.g., Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI APIs).
* Strong understanding of enterprise security, scalability, and performance best practices.
* Experience in the Life Insurance or broader financial services domain.
* Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
* AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
* Agile/Scrum experience with strong collaboration and communication skills.
* This position works at the Kemper office.

The range for this position is $86,200 to $143,600. When determining candidate offers, we consider experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location among other factors.
