Database Administrator - Leading Hedge Fund - Dallas

My client, a renowned hedge fund, is in search of an experienced Database Administrator to join their New York team.

As part of this high-performing technology group, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing SQL Server databases across both on-premises and Azure environments. This includes ensuring database availability and performance, implementing disaster recovery strategies, and supporting business-critical applications.

The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in Microsoft SQL Server administration, including high availability (Always On, clustering), backup/recovery, and query optimization. Strong skills in T-SQL and scripting (Power Shell or similar) are essential, while familiarity with Azure SQL Database and infrastructure is expected. Exposure to Databricks and Unity Catalog would be beneficial.

Given the collaborative nature of the role, strong communication skills will be key, as you’ll partner with development and infrastructure teams to optimize performance and support strategic initiatives.
