Universal DX, Inc. is an international company with a highly experienced team focused on cracking cancer’s code. Through our multi-omics and bioinformatics models, we have figured out how to read the disease’s signals in blood with high accuracy to detect cancer in its earliest stages. Starting with a colorectal cancer screening liquid biopsy test, we are building a multi-cancer platform that can identify the unique DNA regions associated with different types of cancers.

Universal DX is seeking an experienced Senior Network, Cybersecurity & Linux Engineer to join our growing IT team. This role will work closely with the IT Manager and external partners to operate and continuously improve the company’s network, security, and Linux-based infrastructure.

You will play a key role in supporting the company’s future growth by ensuring that core infrastructure, perimeter security, and critical systems are secure, reliable, and scalable. The position combines hands‑on operational responsibility with the ability to understand the long‑term impact of infrastructure and security decisions, contributing directly to business continuity and risk reduction across the organization.

• Strengthen the company’s network and infrastructure security and resilience, reducing the likelihood and impact of incidents.
• Enable secure, sustainable growth by ensuring that infrastructure and security decisions scale safely over time.
• Improve operational reliability through proactive risk reduction, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Support audit readiness and compliance by operating controlled, well‑documented, and auditable environments.
• Serve as a trusted technical partner to IT leadership, supporting informed decision‑making and long‑term planning.

• 6+ years of experience
• Strong hands‑on experience in networking, firewalling, and Linux systems administration in complex, business‑critical environments.
• Demonstrable experience operating Fortinet technologies, including Forti Gate firewalls, routing, segmentation, and security policy management in production environments.
• Experience working with secure access and cloud security platforms such as Netskope or equivalent Secure Service Edge (SSE) solutions.
• Proven experience operating Linux‑based infrastructure, including virtualization and cluster platforms such as Proxmox and Ganeti, as well as high‑availability and performance‑sensitive environments (e.g., HPC or engineering clusters).
• Exposure to public cloud environments such as Azure and AWS is valued, particularly in hybrid infrastructure or security‑related contexts.
• Solid understanding of operational cybersecurity, vulnerability management, and infrastructure risk management.
• Ability to work independently, coordinate and technically challenge external vendors, and communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, while understanding the long‑term architectural impact of decisions.
