Job description for the Senior Manager Marketing Technology Dev Ops role. The role optimizes GTM channel activation and platform capabilities for Marketing and Digital Organizations, enabling partners to create content at scale and personalize customer experiences. Responsible for driving web content development and leveraging marketing and digital analytics to inform ROI. The Senior Manager Marketing Technology Dev Ops is a detail‑oriented thinker who will help shape Southwest’s technology future.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, support, and influence the achievement of department and organizational objectives.
- Participate in organizational processes such as performance management, interviewing, budgeting, and training.
- Lead the resolution of issues at the organization, team, and individual levels; make appropriate decisions.
- Develop and execute strategies to improve performance and the value of products and services.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver solutions and services that meet enterprise needs.
- Provide technical thought leadership for assigned functional areas.
- Deliver technology solutions using best practices to maximize team productivity and quality.
- Stay informed on emerging trends, processes, and solutions relevant to responsibilities.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships and drive change across Business and Technology Teams.
- Work with technology and business partners to measure financial benefits and demonstrable business value.
- May perform other duties as directed by Leaders.
Skills and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of leadership principles, planning, organizing, directing, developing, and supervising.
- Advanced knowledge of personnel practices and regulations.
- Advanced knowledge of software development practices, concepts, methodologies, tools and trends.
- Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Strong partnering, negotiation, and communication skills with business customers and technology teams.
- Ability to provide tactical leadership for teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Ability to deliver quality projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to manage projects using the organization’s project management methodology.
- Required:
High School Diploma or GED. - Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent formal training.
- Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading teams.
- Broad knowledge in a Business and/or Information Technology environment; experience leading teams and providing work direction.
- U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. is required; no work visa sponsorship available.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by law.
- Air travel with frequent overnight stays required; ability to work extended hours as needed.
Competitive market salary from $168,650 – $187,400 per year, with potential for future increases based on performance and market movement. Eligible leadership and individual contributor roles may include bonuses at company discretion.
