Job Summary
The Enterprise Architect is responsible for designing, managing implementation, and supporting enterprise server and infrastructure solutions that are secure, scalable, and highly available. This role defines architectural standards across physical, virtual, and cloud environments and ensures seamless integration across application, server, network, and storage platforms.
The Enterprise Architect serves as a senior technical leader, providing expert-level support for complex infrastructure initiatives and mission-critical systems. This role assists IS Directors and leadership with understanding and implementing technical and process standards and supports department budget planning and management.
Essential Functions of the RoleDesigns and maintains enterprise infrastructure architectures, including virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware) and data center environments.
Leads performance analysis, capacity planning, and availability assessments to support business continuity and growth.
Maintains a portfolio roadmap aligned with clinical, operational, and IT objectives.
Implements infrastructure security best practices and ensures compliance with organizational policies and industry standards in collaboration with Information Security teams.
Evaluates emerging technologies and vendor solutions and contributes to long-term infrastructure and modernization roadmaps.
Collaborates with network, storage, database, application, and business teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions aligned with organizational needs.
Develops and maintains architectural diagrams, system documentation, and operational standards.
Promotes consistency and operational efficiency across the Enterprise Platforms organization, including leading concept definition, strategy, design, deployment, and ongoing process management.
Leads the design and deployment of large-scale systems, including disaster recovery, storage, power, and operating system and software configurations.
Serves as a subject matter expert across multiple technical domains, including virtualization, automation, system security, performance optimization, and disaster recovery.
Leads technical aspects of infrastructure projects, communicates progress and risks, and coordinates with stakeholders.
Maintains system performance metrics, growth projections, and operational reporting
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Seven or more years of professional IT experience with a strong emphasis on server engineering or infrastructure architecture.
Advanced knowledge of Windows, Linux, and AIX operating systems.
Hands‑on experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware.
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and enterprise storage technologies.
Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Power Shell, Bash, or similar).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams.
Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
