Position ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead the launch of a new pharmacy business unit and oversee the integration of a Pharmacy Management System with an ERP platform. This is a mission-critical initiative where you’ll leverage your expertise in large-scale, enterprise-level project delivery within healthcare or other regulated environments. This position will require strong cross-functional leadership, rigorous project governance, and a proactive approach to risk and stakeholder management.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive, integrated project plan covering pharmacy launch, systems implementation, and ERP integration.
- Define project scope, milestones, key dependencies, deliverables, and critical paths to achieve on-schedule, on-budget delivery.
- Establish and enforce project governance structure, including reporting cadence, stakeholder communication, and documentation standards.
- Lead day-to-day project execution, ensuring high-quality deliverables while meeting timelines and scope requirements.
- Effectively coordinate cross-functional teams, including Pharmacy Operations, IT, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Vendors, and Executive Leadership.
- Synchronize business and technical work streams for efficient and seamless systems integration.
- Oversee implementation of Pharmacy Management System and ERP (preferably Sage Intacct), ensuring effective end-to-end system connectivity and data migration.
- Manage all activities related to data migration, testing, validation, and readiness to ensure robust system launch and operation.
- Coordinate with multiple vendor and third-party stakeholders to deliver results and maintain accountability.
- Identify, assess, and proactively manage complex project risks, issues, and interdependencies across all work streams.
- Develop effective mitigation and contingency plans, driving resolution of critical risks and issues.
- Provide timely escalation of key risks and decisions to executive sponsors and steering committees.
- Facilitate and lead stakeholder meetings, working sessions, and steering committee reviews to foster collaboration and clarity across the program.
- Provide concise status updates and risk/decision reporting tailored for executives and collaborators.
- Monitor and manage project performance against established budget, timelines, and deliverable scope.
- 7+ years of experience managing large-scale, complex technology and business projects, ideally within healthcare/pharmacy or similarly regulated industry settings.
- Proven experience overseeing new business launches, system implementations, and end-to-end integrations involving Pharmacy Management Systems and ERP platforms (Sage Intacct preferred).
- Solid understanding of ERP systems functionality, integration protocols, and data flow, with hands-on experience in multi-system environments.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-disciplinary project teams, manage ambiguity, and drive alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on proactive communication and results-driven delivery.
- Expertise in developing and managing project plans, risk registers, governance frameworks, and executive reporting packages.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level presentations.
- Acute analytical skills for assessing project health, risks, and dependencies, and a disciplined approach to issue resolution.
- Experience working with vendors and third-party solution providers.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments, demonstrating ownership and accountability for outcomes.
- Preferred attributes include: Experience with the launch of pharmacy operations or healthcare services.
