AWS Cloud Integration Developer - (AWS, Kafka, Mule Soft) - Hybrid in Plano, TX - W2 Contract-to-Hire
Optomi, in partnership with a leading global provider of automotive financing, leasing, and insurance services, is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to fulfill a contract-to-hire opportunity for a client based in Plano, TX.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in integration middleware, automation, and site reliability engineering best practices. This role is responsible for driving reliability, scalability, automation, and observability across enterprise integration platforms, including messaging, API, and forms-based services. Reporting to the Manager of SRE Departments, this role supports the operation and modernization of integration technologies such as Mule Soft, Apache Camel, TIBCO, and Kafka, while playing a key role in enterprise migration and platform evolution initiatives.

- Strong knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering principles including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and incident management
- Hands-on experience with two or more integration platforms such as Kafka (MSK or Confluent), Mule Soft, TIBCO, or Apache Camel
- Proficiency in Python or comparable scripting languages for automation and tooling
- Experience developing or supporting APIs using Java or similar programming languages
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace
- Understanding of integration security standards including OAuth2, JWT, and related protocols
- Experience with enterprise middleware, event-driven architectures, and hybrid or cloud-based integration patterns
- Operate, monitor, optimize, and scale enterprise integration and messaging platforms including Mule Soft, Apache Camel, TIBCO, and Kafka (MSK)
- Support internally developed APIs and commercial off-the-shelf platforms such as document management and Right Fax systems
- Design, build, and maintain automation to reduce operational toil using Python or equivalent scripting languages
- Define, implement, and manage SLIs, SLOs, health checks, and automated remediation workflows
- Establish and maintain observability, monitoring, and alerting using tools such as Dynatrace, Cloud Watch, and centralized logging platforms
- Partner with application, platform, and infrastructure teams to ensure service reliability, deployment readiness, and operational excellence
- Lead and contribute to incident response efforts, postmortems, and preventative remediation initiatives
- Participate in on-call rotations and support major incident recovery and restoration efforts
