The QA Analyst plans, designs, and executes test cases for Hyphen’s web and mobile applications, including integration with customer ERP systems. The role participates in product design reviews, contributes test scenarios, supports regression and API testing, and collaborates closely with developers and product managers to ensure high-quality releases.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Contributes to the creation and improvement of QA strategies, processes, and deliverables
- Performs end-to-end testing activities, including test planning, test case design, execution, documentation, and defect reporting
- Participates in design and requirements reviews to ensure clarity, completeness, and testability
- Reviews functional specifications and user stories, providing feedback to improve acceptance criteria
- Estimates test effort and timelines for new features, enhancements, and fixes
- Analyzes test results, identifies defects, and communicates findings clearly to product and engineering teams
- Escalates critical issues and risks to management when needed
- Documents QA processes, test approaches, and troubleshooting steps in shared knowledge repositories
- Supports root‑cause investigation and verification of issues found in production
- Works with developers during the SDLC to validate assumptions, ensure alignment with requirements, and refine acceptance criteria
- Adheres to Hyphen Solutions processes and contributes to continuous improvement in test practices

Education and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in software QA testing (manual functional testing required, automation exposure preferred)
- Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices
- Ability to design clear and comprehensive test cases, including expected results
- Ability to execute functional, regression, integration, usability, and smoke tests
- Experience testing browser-based web applications
- Experience testing iOS and Android mobile applications
- Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman or similar
- Working knowledge of SQL or MySQL, including writing queries for test validation
- Familiarity with defect tracking and Agile tools (Azure Dev Ops, Jira, or similar)
- Ability to estimate testing scope and timelines
- Experience with or exposure to test automation frameworks is preferred (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
- Experience with Java-based applications and modern CI/CD processes is a plus
- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Experience with ERP or business workflow systems is a plus
- Strong organization and time management skills

- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to make sound decisions and elevate risks appropriately
- Availability to support occasional after‑hours testing for production deployments or code promotions
