Technical Chief of Staff

Role Overview

We are seeking a Technical Chief of Staff to act as an operational partner for a VP of Software Engineering. This role functions as a leadership extension, helping translate strategic direction into coordinated execution across engineering teams and business stakeholders.

This is a high-visibility role designed for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of technology, communication, and organizational execution.

Hybrid - 3 days on-site in Dallas, Tx.

• Partner directly with engineering leadership to operationalize technology strategy and roadmap priorities
• Convert leadership objectives into structured execution plans, timelines, and measurable deliverables
• Track cross-team initiatives and ensure follow-through across engineering, product, and business stakeholders
• Prepare executive presentations, leadership briefings, and stakeholder communications
• Coordinate meetings, agendas, and follow-ups while driving decisions and accountability
• Identify delivery risks, dependencies, and organizational blockers and drive resolution
• Maintain visibility into ongoing initiatives and provide leadership insight into status and impact
• Support planning, prioritization, and execution across application, data, and operational teams

• 7–10 years of experience in technical program management, consulting, or technology operations
• Experience working directly with engineering organizations or software delivery teams
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills (PowerPoint, written summaries, stakeholder messaging)
• Ability to interpret technical discussions and communicate business impact
• Experience managing timelines, roadmaps, and multi-team initiatives
• Highly organized with strong follow-through and ownership mentality
