Associate Service Engineer

- Once fully trained, the Associate Service Engineer will be providing maintenance and hardware support of multiple data storage platforms and occasionally assist with other IT projects. This is a field service role and will be traveling (driving own vehicle frequently and occasionally flying to other areas as needed) to various business sites for service delivery on a regular basis (business mileage reimbursed).

Formal and informal training towards certifications would be considered for a qualified candidate.

ASSOCIATE SERVICE ENGINEERS AT TSP TYPICALLY HAVE THE FOLLOWING

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Perform hands-on hardware break-fix on multiple storage platforms (after a short training period)

* Schedule service calls and coordinate the delivery of parts to meet the customers' SLAs

* Perform installations of Rubrik storage equipment and Pay Range devices in multiple locations locally (unboxing, lifting, racking/stacking, configuration, etc.)

* Act as smart hands with direction from the Rubrik support center for Rubrik maintenance

* Frequently lift and move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds for maintenance

* Interacting with IT customers, TSP technical team members, and external support organizations

* Impact extends to customer technical representatives, including systems administrators and technical managers

* Maintain flexibility to travel outside of the coverage area when required

* On-call rotation with other team members 24/7/365

THE IDEAL PERSON FOR THIS ROLE WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE SUCH AS:

* 1-2 years in a similar field technician role would be beneficial

* Any IT or storage experience is welcome, but not a requirement

* Exposure to data center environments is preferred but not required

* A strong sense of urgency, time management, and customer-facing skills are required

* Must have a general understanding of Microsoft Outlook and demonstrate superb communication skills (phone/email/in-person).

* Must be reliable, proactive, and possess the ability to take ownership of multiple engagements

* Good job stability must be reflected on the resume

* Education:

degree in computer science, information technology, or any technical field preferred

* Minimum of high school diploma or GED is required

ABOUT THIS ROLE:

* Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license (business mileage reimbursed), and auto insurance

* Must be able to lift and install equipment (up to 75 pounds) into customer racks

* Pay grade: 17
