Contract/Perm: W2 Contract (1-year duration, high probability of extension)

Details:

• Lead technical development across a distributed mainframe environment
• Collaborate with onshore and offshore engineering teams
• Partner with product owners, business analysts, and QA teams throughout the SDLC
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and resolve complex issues
• Ensure quality delivery that meets business and regulatory requirements
• Mentor and guide junior engineers
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and streamline testing
• Participate in knowledge transfer to strengthen team capabilities

• 14+ years in mainframe technologies: COBOL, JCL, DB2, Datacom, VSAM, SQL, SQL Stored Procedures, Messaging Queues, CICS, Easytrieve, SORT utilities. (at the very least 12 years here per Alex)
• 7+ years with scheduling/tools:
  Control‑M, Change Man, File Aid, Xpeditor, Startool, TOAD, SPUFI
• 4+ years in financial services, ideally with DTCC or SEC exposure
• 2+ years in brokerage, custody, or settlements
• Deep Agile knowledge (JIRA, Rally) and strong RCA/debugging skills
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership presence (Level 59)

• Experience in financial services with revenue‑generating teams
• Leading cross‑functional initiatives and knowledge transfer
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities independently in fast‑paced environments
