As an on-site AMERICAN SYSTEMSLead Network Engineer, you’ll take a hands-on leadership role ensuring secure, reliable network operations supporting U.S. Government customers. You’ll serve as a technical authority, guiding network design, troubleshooting complex issues, and maintaining mission-critical connectivity in classified environments.

Responsibilities

As a Lead Network Engineer, you will:

• Configure and troubleshoot
  
  Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) to protect data and control access to classified networks.
• Install, configure, and maintain
  
  Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Diagnose and resolve
  
  Layer 2/Layer 3,VPN, andVMwarenetwork issues.
• Coordinate on-site and remotely with users to configure equipment and troubleshoot connectivity.
• Recommend performance and security enhancements that improve reliability and reduce costs.
• Interface with senior management and vendor technical teams on network solutions.
• Work independently or lead small technical efforts with minimal supervision.

• U.S. Citizenship(required)
• Active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility
• Bachelor’s degree(or 6 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
• 8–10 yearsof professional networking experience
• Expertise in Cisco ISE configuration and troubleshooting,routing/switching, and firewall administration
• Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 protocols and network design principles
• Certifications such asCCNPorCCIEare highly preferred
