As a Data Center Architect
, you’ll lead the design, implementation, and optimization of large‑scale data center environments. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll define both the physical and logical architecture, while also leading capacity planning, efficiency improvements, and expansion initiatives.
You will collaborate closely with infrastructure teams, leadership, and external vendors, ensuring that all data center operations align with business objectives and future growth.
What You’ll Own- End‑to‑end data center architecture
, including racks, cabling, network design, power, and cooling systems - Capacity planning and forecasting
, ensuring infrastructure scales ahead of demand - Infrastructure optimization
, improving power usage, airflow efficiency, and performance - Security and resilience
, implementing safeguards across both physical and digital environments - Vendor management
, coordinating procurement, deployment, and maintenance of critical infrastructure - Project delivery
, owning timelines, budgets, and execution of data center expansions and upgrades - Technical leadership
, mentoring teams and driving best practices across infrastructure engineering - Modernization initiatives
, including virtualization, automation, and performance improvements
- 5+ years of experience in data center architecture within large, complex environments
- Strong expertise across:
- Networking, servers, and storage
- Power distribution and cooling systems
- Proven experience designing and delivering end‑to‑end data center environments
- Track record of multiple large‑scale data center rollouts (3+)
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP)
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to handle complex infrastructure challenges
- Solid project management experience with a track record of delivering at scale
- Strong communication skills, comfortable working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to guide engineering teams
- Background in large enterprise technology environments or infrastructure consulting firms
- Experience working with organizations specializing in cloud, infrastructure, or system integration
- Relevant certifications in data center, cloud, or infrastructure architecture
