Junior Data Analyst - Entry Level job . Dallas, TX.

They are seeking a talented and motivated Data Analyst to support diverse projects that enhance business processes and improve efficiencies across multiple areas.
Responsibilities- Collect, organize, and analyze internal and external datasets (e.g. GIS, CMMS, SCADA, Customer Information Systems, Key Performance Indicators, Financial Information Systems, and hydraulic modeling).
- Design, analyze, and visualize data to communicate actionable insights to a diverse audience (e.g., maintenance staff, management, regulators, and the public), using tools such as Power BI, Excel, Tableau, and Azure Analytics.
- Clean and standardize complex datasets, perform qualitative, quantitative, and temporal analyses.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to establish data standards, maintain data integrity, and create tools to provide products that address stakeholder needs.
- Innovate and inspire business process improvements and operational efficiency for stakeholders through data driven solutions.
- Create data products such as tables, graphs, and statistical summaries to support decision-making and report creation.
- Troubleshoot data issues related to formatting, quality, and documentation.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to extract relevant data and detect inconsistencies, errors, and outliers.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in data science or related field
- Proficiency with analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Azure Analytics.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience working with large datasets.
- Ability to align data analysis and processes with stakeholder needs and business goals.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data insights and recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Understanding of data quality control and information management processes.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify data trends and resolve data issues.
Preferred:
- Experience creating dashboards and visualizations (Power BI) preferred.
- Experience with SQL querying and data reporting preferred.
- Familiarity with utility system datasets (e.g., GIS, CMMS, SCADA) preferred.
