Job Title: Data Analyst – Healthcare (EMR & Revenue Cycle)
Location: Dallas, TX (Open to Fully Remote within Texas | DFW candidates: Hybrid 1–2 days onsite)
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000 annually
Position OverviewWheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Data Analyst on behalf of our client to support a high-impact transformation initiative within a growing healthcare organization.
This role will play a critical part in transitioning EMR and billing systems from a third-party vendor to an internally managed model, while also driving long‑term data strategy, reporting, and analytics. The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, with the ability to translate complex healthcare data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities System Transition & Implementation- Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support EMR and billing system transition initiatives
- Perform data validation, migration, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Support system configuration, testing, and go‑live activities
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance throughout implementation
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics to support operational, financial, and clinical decision-making
- Analyze healthcare data to identify trends, performance gaps, and growth opportunities
- Structure and optimize datasets for scalability, reporting, and usability
- Translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership and cross‑functional teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support performance improvement and strategic initiatives
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field
- 5–8 years of experience in data analysis within a healthcare environment
- Hands‑on experience with EMR systems and healthcare data (clinical and financial)
- Strong understanding of healthcare billing, revenue cycle, and financial data structures
- Proficiency in SQL and data querying/manipulation
- Experience with data validation, governance, and data integrity best practices
- Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Experience supporting EMR or system implementations/transitions
- Knowledge of data security and compliance standards (HIPAA, PHI)
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, evolving healthcare environment
- Background combining technical analytics with strategic or project-based work
- Hybrid skillset: strong technical capabilities (SQL, data analysis) and strategic mindset
- Ability to operate both hands‑on and at a high‑level with leadership stakeholders
- Proven ability to translate data into meaningful business insights
- Self‑driven, adaptable, and comfortable navigating evolving priorities
- Early‑to‑mid career professional with demonstrated growth and progression
