Mid-Level Information Systems Security Engineer

We are seeking a passionate and collaborative Mid-Level Information Systems Security Engineer to join a growing security team supporting enterprise-wide cybersecurity operations and infrastructure. This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on protecting systems, networks, and sensitive data through the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of security technologies and processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity and networking, experience administering enterprise security tools, and advanced knowledge of Forti Gate firewalls. Personality and team fit are important, as this individual will join a close‑knit 5‑person security team that values communication, accountability, and a proactive mindset.

• Administer, configure, and support enterprise security tools and infrastructure
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Forti Gate firewall technologies
• Perform vulnerability management, security monitoring, log analysis, and threat investigations
• Support incident response activities and assist with remediation efforts
• Conduct security scans, risk assessments, and penetration testing activities
• Develop and improve alerting, detection, and defensive security strategies
• Support implementation of security projects and operational initiatives
• Assist with maintaining compliance with security standards, policies, and best practices
• Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen overall security posture

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or network security
• Strong networking background with hands‑on firewall administration experience
• Advanced experience with Forti Gate firewalls
• Experience with vulnerability management and enterprise security operations
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to communicate technical security concepts effectively to technical and non‑technical teams
• Security+ certification required within 6 months of hire (CISSP strongly preferred)

• Hybrid schedule with onsite presence required 2-3 days per week
• Participation in an on‑call rotation is required
