The Service Now Technical Developer will design, configure, and develop solutions on the Service Now platform, specializing in IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), ITOM and/or CSM/FSM modules. This role requires strong technical expertise, scripting skills, and experience in implementing complex workflows and integrations.

Responsibilities
  • Development & Configuration
    :
    Customize and configure Service Now ITSM, ITOM and CSM modules, including Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, and Case Management. Develop workflows, Flow Designer flows, and automation scripts. Create and maintain UI policies, client scripts, business rules, and script includes.
  • Integration
    :
    Build integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and Integration Hub. Ensure secure and scalable integration with external systems (CRM, ERP).
  • Platform Administration
    :
    Manage instance upgrades, cloning, and performance optimization. Configure CMDB, discovery, and asset management.
  • Quality & Compliance
    :
    Adhere to coding standards and Service Now best practices. Ensure compliance with ITIL processes and security guidelines.
Required

Skills & Qualifications Experience
  • 8-10 years in Service Now development, with hands-on ITSM, ITAM, and/or ITOM, CSM implementation experience.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Service Now scripting and configuration.
  • Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and Orchestration.
Certifications
  • Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) – Mandatory.
  • Certified Implementation Specialist – ITSM and ITOM , CSM – Preferred.
  • Certified Application Developer (CAD) – Good to have.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Hands-on development to include creation, configuration and customization of patterns, Discovery Schedules, probe, sensors and Event rules
  • Integration :
    Hands-on experience with integrating Service Now with other CMDB tools and enterprise monitoring systems
  • App Engine :
    Expertise in Custom module implementations
  • Working experience on Workflow administration, Service Now Reporting, Form/UI configurations, Notifications, data imports, custom scripting
  • Experience in identifying opportunities for process automation and optimization using advanced Service Now features
