- About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Service Now UI Builder Lead to join our team and drive the design and development of modern, user-centric interfaces on the Service Now platform. This role will lead UI Builder initiatives while remaining hands-on in building scalable, high-quality digital experiences using the Now Experience Framework.

This is a front-end engineering-focused Service Now role, requiring deep expertise in UI Builder, component-based development, and modern JavaScript frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the UI Builder scope, providing both technical leadership and hands-on development

* Design and develop responsive, modern user interfaces using Service Now UI Builder and Now Experience Framework

* Build custom UI components and work spaces to enhance application usability and performance

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive UI/UX solutions aligned with business needs

* Develop and maintain workflows, catalog items, record producers, and business rules

* Integrate Service Now applications with external systems using APIs and integration tools

* Ensure high-quality, scalable solutions by following best practices in front-end and Service Now development

Required Qualifications

* Strong experience in Service Now development, including platform customization

* Hands-on expertise with UI Builder and Now Experience Framework

* Proven experience building custom UI components and interfaces within Service Now

* Strong JavaScript skills with understanding of component-based development (React concepts preferred)

* Experience with Glide APIs, Flow Designer, and Service Now integrations

* Solid understanding of Service Now ITSM processes and applications

* Ability to work in a lead role while contributing hands-on to development

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience designing enterprise-level work spaces or portals

* Exposure to modern UI/UX principles and best practices

* Experience working in Agile development environments

This role requires hands-on experience building UI solutions using UI Builder and modern JavaScript frameworks. Candidates with only certifications or limited exposure may not be a fit.

Salary and Other Compensation

Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

* Please note, this role is not able to offer visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future
* The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $100K-$117K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
