Welltower’s Data Scientist turns data into insight. The role collaborates with the data science team, integrating information from multiple sources, building predictive models, applying statistical analysis, and enhancing data engineering practices to improve business performance.

• Assist the Business Insights team with data and analytics strategy and apply predictive analytics across Welltower.
• Develop predictive models and solutions that consume data for analytics.
• Select features and build/optimize classifiers using machine learning techniques.
• Integrate third‑party data sources as needed.
• Interpret model outputs to support Welltower’s investment decisions.
• Improve data collection to support analytic systems.
• Process, cleanse, and verify data integrity for analysis.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analysis and present results clearly.

Minimal travel to other Welltower office locations may be required.

• 1–3 years of post‑educational Data Scientist experience.
• Strong technical skills in reporting, programming, predictive modeling, and solution architecture.
• Expertise in machine learning techniques (e.g., neural networks).
• Proficiency in at least one data science toolkit (R, MATLAB, Python, etc.).
• Experience with data mining and visualization tools (Alteryx, Tableau, etc.).
• Applied statistics skills (distributions, correlation, testing, regression).
  Strong communication abilities.
• Familiarity with Real Estate and Healthcare industry systems.
• Understanding of enterprise profitability, business planning, and forecasting.

• PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field with a focus on predictive analytics (required).
• Background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Statistics (required).
