A Day in the LifeThis role leads end-to-end IT sourcing and procurement, driving cost-effective purchasing strategies, vendor management, and contract negotiations. Reporting to the Director of IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity, it oversees all third-party vendor relationships, including SOWs, contingent labor, and managed services.
The position partners with IT and business leaders to deliver efficient sourcing processes aligned to budget and operational needs. Responsibilities include spend analysis, supplier evaluation, RFIs/RFPs, and negotiation execution. The role also ensures accuracy in software licensing, maintenance renewals, and quote validation. Requires a highly analytical, results-driven professional with strong procurement and supplier management expertise.
What You’ll Do- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand and document IT requirements
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure high-quality supply sources that deliver on a timely basis.
- Aggregates and leverages IT spending power.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to procurement and supply chain
- Works with IT stakeholders to understand current and future needs, including hardware, software, and services.
- Implements and drives procurement strategy, policies and procedures
- Gathers stakeholder and subject-matter expertise/insights and business requirements to ensure sourcing solutions meet business needs
- Manages the planning and launch of RFIs and RFPs
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Manages supplier selection process and provides data to ensure informed selection decisions
- Monitor supplier performance and manage ongoing vendor relationships.
- Develops and maintains a list of key IT Vendors and suppliers
- Responsible for all compliance documentation for vendors
- Tracks vendor performance and evaluates the effectiveness of IT procurement
- Explores significant value-add initiatives such as vendor and spend consolidation.
- Conducts quarterly business reviews, measures performance through scorecards
- Ensures integrity of savings tracking and reporting efforts.
- Research and evaluate potential vendors
- Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Establish vendor agreements that align with company and customer goals
- Negotiates contract terms and conditions and coordinates with legal to execute optimal contracts with suppliers.
- Develop cost-saving initiatives and drive efficiency in procurement processes.
- Track and manage procurement budgets and forecasts, ensure adherence to financial goals
- Managing budgets, analyzing procurement costs, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.

- Five plus years of professional experience in IT procurement
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business administration, logistics, finance, or related field.
- CPM, CIRM or CPIM certification a plus.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills.
- Knowledge of procurement software and best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
