Network Engineer

Pride Health is seeking a Network Engineer for one of its healthcare clients.

The Network Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining secure network infrastructure and enterprise security systems to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational systems and data. This role supports cybersecurity operations, vulnerability management, incident response activities, and network security initiatives within a complex healthcare environment.

• Research and investigate cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits.
• Conduct log analysis, network forensics, and security investigations.
• Support security monitoring, scanning, testing, and reporting processes.
• Assist with the implementation of network security projects and threat detection initiatives.
• Develop alerting and detection strategies for suspicious activity and unusual behavior.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities.
• Participate in incident response investigations and remediation efforts.
• Support technical risk assessments and implementation analysis for security compliance.
• Assist with maintenance and support of security tools, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, VPNs, firewalls, antivirus, and data protection technologies.
• Support security controls aligned with HIPAA, PCI, NIST, and HITRUST frameworks.
• Collaborate with technical teams to identify and remediate security risks.
• Maintain documentation and communicate technical findings effectively.
• Stay current with networking, cybersecurity trends, tools, and best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in management information systems or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in network security, cybersecurity, or information systems security required.
• Experience with endpoint protection, vulnerability management, incident response, threat intelligence, or mobile/wireless security required.
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent certification required within 6 months of placement.
• Knowledge of NIST, HITRUST, PCI, and HIPAA Security Rule required.
• Experience supporting multiple platforms and enterprise network environments required.
• Working knowledge of firewalls, routers, switches, Microsoft Active Directory / GPO, Windows, and Linux operating systems required.
• Experience with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, MFA, DLP, encryption technologies, EDR, CASB, and vulnerability management tools preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to perform technical risk assessments and support remediation efforts required.
• Ability to manage tasks and deliver quality results in a fast‑paced environment is required.
