Responsibilities
- Lead numerous client engagements
- Manage and prioritize team responsibilities and consult with senior members of the team as appropriate across multiple deals
- Work cohesively and collaboratively across stakeholders
- Counsel and mentor junior members of the team and continue to develop the team’s technical acumen
- Proactively recruit, train, and develop junior staff members, including teaching training classes as applicable
- Effectively manage day-to-day client interaction and relationships and continue to emphasize the capabilities of A&M to clients.
- Contribute to sales pursuits generating new client business and/or adding on business from current client.
- Expand TAG market share within existing clients and increase non-TAG purchases from A&M at both the fund and portfolio levels.
- Identify and pursue referrals from existing clients and new client opportunities by attending industry conferences.
- Appropriately manage engagement risk and potential client or engagement issues.
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in data analytics or transaction services
- Buy-side/vendor due diligence experience across industries preferred
- Understanding of M&A / PE investment lifecycle preferred
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Statistics, Information Systems or a related field
- Understanding of data extraction, manipulation, analytics and visualization approaches
- Strong technical background with hands‑on data analytics experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, relational databases/SQL querying, Alteryx, business intelligence/visualization (Tableau and or Power BI), big data and machine learning concepts
- Ability to leverage business intelligence software
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a thorough yet concise manner
- Exceptional project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility to work as both a team member in a collaborative setting and as an individual contributor
- Ability to thrive and be effective in fast‑paced settings
The base salary is $225,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Mársal Holdings’ fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD’D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
