About the role
This position works closely with Software Engineering, while collaborating closely with IT to align on infrastructure, security, and operational standards. You are an integral the product lifecycle, enabling fast, reliable, and secure delivery to our customers. The Dev Ops Engineer is responsible for the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our product delivery systems. This role partners with Software Engineering to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and with IT for cloud infrastructure and alignment with enterprise standards.
You will drive automation, improve delivery processes, and integrate secure, scalable technologies across the stack.
- Design, build, and operate CI/CD pipelines supporting delivery of product features across environments.
- Partner closely with Software Engineering to align build, deployment, and runtime requirements with product needs.
- Collaborate with IT on infrastructure, security, and platform changes impacting delivery systems and application environments.
- Monitor and improve application and pipeline observability, including logging, metrics, and alerting to ensure reliable production operations.
- Contribute to container-based deployment strategies, ensuring applications are buildable, portable, and deployment-ready.
- Continuously improve reliability, scalability, and security of delivery pipelines and release processes.
- Participate in security reviews, audits, and risk assessments; implement improvements to strengthen security posture.
- Evaluate and adopt technologies that enhance delivery speed, resilience, and maintainability.
- Track operational work and support activities through established systems.
- Support the VP Product Delivery and Product Team on projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of SDLC with a focus on automation, release quality, and continuous improvement.
- 3+ years in Dev Ops, SRE, or related role supporting production systems or 5+ years in Software Engineering.
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Power Shell, and Python).
- Experience working and collaborating in environments with shared ownership across Engineering and IT.
- Excellent problem solving and empirical skills.
- Clear communication and documentation abilities.
Self-directed, collaborative, and able to prioritize effectively in a product-driven environment.
- Strong experience with Azure Dev Ops (ADO), including Pipelines, Repos, and Artifacts in production environments.
- Experience building and maintaining automation using Bash and Power Shell.
- Working knowledge of containerization (Docker), including building, packaging, and deploying containerized applications.
- Familiarity with container orchestration concepts (e.g., Kubernetes / EKS) and how applications integrate with these platforms.
- E xperience supporting Windows and Linux-based application hosting environments.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, Code Deploy, ECR) is highly desirable.
