UT Southwestern is a world‑renowned medical and research center that seeks a qualified REDCap Administrator to oversee the REDCap platform and provide backup support for Box administration. The role involves collaborating with research and operational teams, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory standards, and training users on data management best practices.
Job SummaryThe REDCap Administrator will be responsible for the administration, support, and optimization of the REDCap platform. This role will also provide backup support for Box administration to support secure file storage and collaboration needs across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and support the REDCap platform, including user access, project setup, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with research and operational teams to design and optimize REDCap projects and workflows
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, data governance, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11)
- Provide training and guidance to users on REDCap functionality and best practices
- Monitor system performance, upgrades, and enhancements
- Provide backup support for Box administration, including user access and file transfer management
- Assist in documentation, process improvements, and system integrations
- Experience administering REDCap in a research or healthcare environment
- Familiarity with Box or similar file‑sharing platforms
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance requirements
- Ability to translate user needs into technical solutions
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders
- Knowledge of clinical research workflows and systems is a plus

- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, computer science, information systems, or related field. - Experience:
3 years progressively responsible business systems and/or Information Technology project experience, with exposure to system or project development and testing, installation, and training. Applicants without the stated degree, but with significant additional Information Technology systems and project experience, may be considered.
This position is security‑sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information. To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
