Snowflake Engineer

Eligibility:

Only U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders (No OPTs)

This role is focused on Snowflake platform administration, integration, and automatio
n within a large‑scale cloud data ecosystem. The engineer will be responsible for packaging new Snowflake features, embedding them into the security architecture, and ensuring disaster recovery readiness. A strong emphasis is placed on automatio
n using SQL, Python, Bash, and infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform and Ansible

• Package and integrate new Snowfla
  ke features into a common data platform for use by multiple application development team
• Integrate Snowfla
  ke features into the Snowfla
  ke security architecture
• Validate non-functional requirements, including disaster recovery and backup for Snowfla
  ke objects
• Automate Snowfla
  ke environment deployment and administration using SQL, Python or Bash utilities
• Collaborate with Application Development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of Snowfla
  ke platform capabilities
• Utilize CI/CD tools such as Git Lab, Bitbucket, and Jenkins to manage configuration and execution of Snowfla
  ke utilities
• Perform Snowfla
  ke and AWS administration tasks using Terraform or Ansible automation tools
• Provide escalate>d Snowfla
  ke support to DTCC’s Cloud Data Operations team
• Develop Snowfla
  ke platform feature documentation, training materials and job aids for our operations staff
• Support Disaster Recovery and Operational Rotation activities to validate the effectiveness of DTCC’s business continuity planning
• Provide Snowfla
  ke implementation and integration advice and consulting to application development teams
• Report defects and problems to Snowfla
  ke and work with DTCC’s Snowfla
  ke account team to validate and implement suggested fixes.

• Minimum of 6+ years of related experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Proven experience wi
  th Snowfl
  ake data platform administration. A current Snow Pro Core certification is strongly desired. More advanc
  ed Snowfl
  ake platform certifications are a plus
• Experience with SQL programming and/or rel
  ational datab
  ase administration on mainstre
  am datab
  ase platforms (Snowfl
  ake, Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, Postgre Sql)
• Proficiency in Python and Bash script development on Linux
