As a Director in the Forensic Technology Services team, you will serve as a primary client contact and practice leader, providing eDiscovery support across a variety of contentious legal and regulatory situations. You will lead projects involving collection, processing, review, and production of electronically stored data, manage a team of junior professionals, and ensure project quality, cost‑efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of client contact for projects involving the identification, collection, processing, review, and production of electronically stored data (ESI) relevant to litigation or investigations.
- Collaborate with clients to implement efficient workflows, proactively identify and mitigate risk, and apply quality control best practices to ensure ESI remains discoverable, viewable, and useful.
- Lead a broad team of junior professionals responsible for supporting each phase of delivery.
- Communicate with clients and team members about commitments, deadlines, and project status, ensuring timely and cost‑efficient delivery.
- Maintain consistent coordination to ensure the successful completion of established project objectives.
- Plan, resource, organize, and manage staff on all active engagements assigned to you.
- Lead external and internal meetings to review work results.
- Ensure eDiscovery best practices are followed by performing quality control checks.
- Demonstrate expertise in eDiscovery tools, including Relativity and Brainspace.
- Prepare and update thorough documentation of progress and milestones, including summaries of the team’s delivery efforts.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and streamlining.
- At least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, data science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional client‑service and follow‑up skills, including interpersonal and relationship‑building abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fast learner, eager to adopt new technologies in a fast‑paced, challenging environment.
- Expertise using industry‑standard review and production tools such as Relativity, Reveal, Nuix, Brainspace, and related software and certifications.
- At least 7 years of experience in client service delivery with standard eDiscovery methodology and best practices.
- Sound technical knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
- Experience as an advanced user and database administrator for Relativity Server and Relativity One.
- Experience with document review management (beneficial but not required).
- J.D. preferred but not required.
Salary range: $130,000 – $175,000 annually, depending on education, experience, skills, and geography. A discretionary bonus program is available based on individual and firm performance.
